Energy Storage Solutions & Smart-E Loan Programs
As directed by the Energy Storage Solutions program guidelines, the Green Bank may verify that installed equipment matches the specifications presented in a corresponding application. Energy Storage Solutions inspections are only performed when an applicant “opts-in.” If you opt-in to an energy storage inspection, you will be contacted by a Green Bank representative, followed by an email or phone call from our third-party inspector.
While the Energy Storage Solutions inspections do not evaluate workmanship, they can provide valuable information to customers should they have questions about the installed equipment. Although the inspector is not responsible for remedying issues with installations, the inspector will report any findings back to the Green Bank and your installer. Green Bank inspectors will provide contractors with the opportunity to attend inspections.
Third-party inspectors are chosen via a Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) process. The inspections team consists of consultants with technical expertise, and are either licensed professionals, former contractors, or professional engineers.
These inspections do not replace municipal inspections and do not evaluate installations for code compliance, rather, they only verify that the installed equipment matches each application.
