Joe Buonannata

Director of People Operations

As Director of People Operations, Joe leads the Connecticut Green Bank’s human resource function with a people-focused approach.

Joe started with the Green Bank in May 2012 as a temporary summer hire, which transitioned into an internship, and later full-time employment on the Investments and Residential Programs teams, where he helped develop and lead the daily operations of residential financing programs including the CT Solar Lease, CT Solar Loan, and Smart-E Loan. He was a founding member of Inclusive Prosperity Capital which spun out of the Green Bank in August 2018 and helped develop programs and processes for the nonprofit organization. He returned to the Green Bank in July 2022 to serve in an Operations role.

Joe holds a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, VA, a M.S. in National Security and Public Safety from the University of New Haven, and a graduate certificate in Human Resource Management from the University of Connecticut.
