Switch Together to Access Affordable Solar & Energy Storage

With over 70 nationwide municipal governments finding success through the Switch Together program, Connecticut municipalities are encouraged to collaborate with the Connecticut Green Bank and Solar United Neighbors (SUN) to access Switch Together’s affordable, group buying power for residential solar and battery storage.

What is Switch Together?

Switch Together partners with local governments, state agencies, and non-profits to make sustainable energy transitions such as solar and battery storage accessible and affordable for everyone. A free, trusted, turnkey solar and storage program for your residents, Switch Together combines group-buying power, a solar help desk, educational content, digital and mail promotion, outreach support and installer vetting.

Through their current campaigns across 10 states and around the globe, Switch Together has facilitated more than 200,000 solar installations and 50,000 battery systems, reducing CO2 production by more than 230 million tonnes and saving consumers $138 million in lifetime energy savings.

Now, Connecticut Green Bank is partnering with SUN to bring Switch Together to Connecticut communities.

Why is Connecticut Green Bank Supporting Switch Together?

Since 2011, Connecticut Green Bank has helped make clean energy more accessible and affordable. The Green Bank is partnering with SUN to continue this mission through Switch Together, providing homeowners in participating communities with easier access to solar and storage. By reducing barriers to affordability and making it easier to understand incentives and financing, more homeowners can make the switch to solar and storage!
