Robert Schmitt

Associate Director, Marketing & Outreach

Robert is a strategic and creative marketer who manages efforts for the Green Bank’s portfolio of commercial, industrial and institutional financing programs. He leads on marketing for C-PACE and the Green Bank Solar PPA and has played an integral role in developing and executing campaigns and programs to support these products such as the Energy on the Line, Solar MAP and Charge Up CT Buildings initiatives. Robert also works on promotion of the Green Bank brand and the development of enterprise marketing strategies and solutions.

Robert first joined the Green Bank in 2012 when he managed outreach, served as a liaison to municipalities and oversaw the successful Clean Energy Communities and Solarize Connecticut programs. Before joining the Green Bank, he served as an educator at the Connecticut Science Center and worked with the Capital Region Education Council and state utilities on energy efficiency education.

Robert earned a BS in Environmental Interpretation from Central Connecticut State University, an MS in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University and an MBA from UMass Amherst.
