Dan Smith

Vice President of Accounting and Reporting

As Vice President of Account and Reporting, Dan is responsible for all financial reporting, budgeting, cash management and accounting operations of Connecticut Green Bank.

Previously, beginning in 2021, in roles as Associate Director of Financial Reporting and Director of Accounting and Reporting within the Accounting team, Dan’s responsibilities included preparing regular and ad-hoc compliance reporting for specific investments, loan partners, bonds and subsidiaries of the Green Bank, preparation of the audited Annual Comprehensive Financial Report, preparation of the annual budget, and special projects related to accounting and tax research including new GASB standard implementation.

Previously to joining the Green Bank, Dan spent 10 years in public accounting, most recently as an audit manager at blumshapiro and subsequently CliftonLarsonAllen through merger.

Dan is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), and attended the Isenberg School of Management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
