Community Solutions

We’re helping Connecticut thrive and creating stronger towns and cities by offering green solutions for all. From solutions for local and state government properties, to providing support for community leaders in outreach to local businesses and community members – especially the most vulnerable – helping them to access green energy and achieve a more prosperous future.

Solutions that will help your community go green

Municipal and state buildings have options for going solar with no money down. Learn how your buildings can realize immediate electricity savings or generate income by leasing your roof space. If you need help navigating the solar and storage process, our Solar MAP+ program can help you.

Schools are a vital part of our community and how we transport students to classrooms is also important. We want to help empower school and municipal leaders so they can improve the resilience, energy-use, and health of their students and community.

Sustainable CT and the Connecticut Green Bank are strategic partners working together to engage communities, drive investment in projects, and improve sustainability. Many Green Bank programs are directly aligned with Sustainable CT’s menu of actions.

Installing a battery system can help municipal facilities improve their resiliency and lower peak demand while providing backup power when the electricity goes out to keep the facility running without interruption. This new incentive program offers upfront and performance-based incentives for Eversource and United Illuminating customers installing energy storage at their facility.

To access interactive data showing the impact of our projects in your city or town, visit our MAYA tool. This dashboard highlights impact across economic, environmental, and energy categories, including investment deployed, job years created, tax revenues, public health, emissions and more.

The Green Bank has products and services to meet the needs of your constituents. We provide solutions for all types of commercial buildings, nonprofits, and residential properties, as well as contractors and developers that make it easier to access cleaner, more affordable and more reliable energy.

Whether your town is already one of the nearly 140 participating in the C-PACE program and looking to promote its benefits to your business community, or if you are looking for information on how to sign up, the Green Bank is here to support you.
