Connecticut Green Bank Announces Close of 17th Green Liberty Note Offering

August 17, 2026

With more than $5 million in total investment, the program continues to demonstrate strong investor demand

HARTFORD, Conn. — August 17, 2026 — The Connecticut Green Bank today announced the successful closing of its 17th Green Liberty Note offering, which reached the maximum amount of $350,000. In total, more than $5 million has been invested from individuals in Connecticut and across the country.

This milestone also represents the 15th consecutive Green Liberty Note offering to meet or exceed its maximum target, further demonstrating sustained investor confidence in the program and its underlying clean energy impact.

Since its launch in late 2021, the Green Liberty Note program has established itself as one of the most successful community investment initiatives in the country by providing everyday investors with the opportunity to directly support Connecticut’s clean energy economy. Through a simple, accessible structure, individuals can invest with as little as $100 and earn a competitive return while contributing to projects that reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.

Proceeds from these Green Liberty Notes support energy efficiency upgrades through Eversource’s Small Business Energy Advantage (SBEA) program, enabling small businesses across Connecticut to lower operating costs and improve performance.

Building on the overall momentum of green investments, the Connecticut Green Bank, Honeycomb Credit, and their partners are planning to continue to offer Green Liberty Notes on a quarterly basis with additional project-specific investment opportunities coming soon.
