Jayson Velazquez

Manager of Community Outreach

Jayson Velazquez is the Manager of Community Outreach at the Connecticut Green Bank on the Marketing and Outreach team. In this role, Jayson is committed to nurturing strong, collaborative, and reciprocal relationships with municipal leaders in low-income and disadvantaged communities (LIDACs), community-based groups, mission-aligned organizations, and stakeholders. In his role, he will be helping Connecticut towns and cities thrive by ensuring access to green solutions for all, and particularly those most vulnerable.

Prior to joining the Green Bank, Jayson was the Climate and Energy Justice Policy Associate at Acadia Center, where he pursued procedural and distributive equity in Connecticut’s energy efficiency programs as Environmental Representative on the Energy Efficiency Board. Jayson also led efforts to bring an environmental justice lens and equitable stakeholder engagement to utility reform, renewable energy development, and grid initiatives through legislative, administrative, and regulatory advocacy.

Jayson holds a Bachelor of Science in Environment and Natural Resources from The Ohio State University and a Master of Environmental Science from Yale School of the Environment.
